How are you feeling?

With so many external pressures and the modern expectation to always be "on" are you feeling a bit overwhelmed and looking for more balance in all areas of your life?

Signs of feeling overwhelmed can feel like:

  • an overload of information
  • Decision fatigue
  • feeling like you always have to be perfect, there's no room for mistakes
  • Struggling to set achievable goals
  • Finding prioritization hard
  • So many expectations placed on you
  • Feeling the pressure of having to keep up
  • Distracted by the slightest things
  • Procrastination, putting off doing things you need to do.

All of this can create chaos in your mind and feel insurmountable.  Trying to make life changing wellbeing goals with all this chatter can be very difficult.

I can't provide an instant fix, but I can give you some pointers.  Firstly an open curious growth mindset is really important, with time and effort you can be able to quiet the chaos, allowing you to develop new healthy habits and improving your abilities to be able to see the wood from the trees.  A good dose of perseverance will be needed as well.

Seeing failure or mistakes in a different light can make a lot of difference and help you find clarity.  Put these experiences into perspective and see them as learning opportunities.  There are "take-aways" you can learn from in most experiences.  With this change in your mindset you can vastly reduce your fear of failure or mistakes, so what if it doesn't work out.  You can re-evaluate and move forward in a different way, which most likely will be better for you.

Life's journey is very rarely straight forward and easy, many of us face obstacle's that can at times seem too big to figure out.  You may have to readjust your path to your wellbeing goals, plan an entirely different route.  All of our learning is generally done through our journeys not the end results.  Take time to sit back, see it in a different perspective, use it to fuel you forward not deplete you.  Where there's a will there's a way!

We are often told to "think outside the box", why not try looking at it from all different angles, consider all possibilities, some will work and some won't.  Change your mindset towards it, this can help you be more creative with your problem solving skills.  Encourage yourself to explore other ways to achieve your wellbeing goals, there is no absolute right way, just the one that works for you.

Sometimes "good enough" is all that you need to do, it doesn't need to be perfect as long as it works for you.  Take time to sit back and look at everything you have achieved so far, quite often you will be surprised at how much you have actually done, how many changes you have made and how far you have travelled on your wellbeing journey towards your goals.  Focus less on what you have yet to conquer.

Growth is linear to each individual person.  You can achieve your wellbeing goals, in your own time and in your own way.

Be proud of yourself!

Celebrate every single achievement!

We are all "perfectly imperfect"
