When I started my own wellbeing goals this is something I put a lot of thought into, it really helped bring the goals I wanted to achieve into clarity.

I see core values as the things that help make you who you are, what is most important to you on an intrinsic level. My core values are what I use to guide me in my life, they are singular to me. They are shown throughout my life in the way that they guide me in the decisions I make and the importance I put on them.
They give me a sense of purpose, direction and motivate me in my life choices.
I feel that by identifying my core values it has helped me make healthier, clear decisions that align with my beliefs. It gives more authenticity to those decisions, they are made by me not anybody else.
Having identified my core values and using them as a tool has really helped keep me motivated. I feel more confident in the decisions I am making. Don't get me wrong I am not able to use them 24/7, but in line with my bigger picture. My focus has become much better and much more centered. It has helped me be able to prioritize more strategically and get less distracted from my long term wellbeing goals by what doesn't align with them.
Having been lucky to have always had a very strong sense in what I can live with and what I consider is right and wrong made my core values simple to identify. What I have learned is that we are all entitled to our different opinions on this which has helped reduce conflict in my life and with myself. My understanding of myself has deepened and strengthened especially when questioned by others. Being able to stand firm and happy with my values, that they are right for me and align with my personal wellbeing goals has had a remarkable impact.

My question for you is "what are your core values?"
To help you why not reflect upon the following questions?
- Who has been the biggest role model in your life?
- Who has had a positive impact?
- What values do they have that you liked the most?
- if you imagine your perfect life what are the under pining values that are needed for it?
- Think of a time where you felt a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment? What values did you encompass?
For more guidance here are some common core values:
Compassion, Integrity, Honesty, Family, Service, Growth, Learning, Creativity, Adventure, Freedom.
